Our papers and frames
On the following page we have gathered some information about the papers and frames we use. All our posters are printed especially for you in Poland and we attach great value to ensuring that our semi-finished products are produced or supplied by local companies.
Papers
At Poster Polytechnic we use only the finest German poster printing papers.
Smooth matte
Smooth - matt photographic Fully matt paper with a weight of 230g/m. This is a photographic paper of German manufacture which is much thicker than standard "poster" paper.
Fine Art - 100% cotton paper
Exclusive with texture - cotton Manufactured in the German manufactory Hahnemühle FineArt. It is made from 100% cotton. Completely acid-free, does not contain bleach, weight is up to 310g / m. Most often found in art galleries and museums. Ideal as a gift or for enthusiasts of the highest quality papers. Its full name is Hahnemühle William Turner.
Poster frames
All our frames are manufactured in Poland, European Union.
When you buy a poster and a frame the framing is free of charge.
Wooden - painted
Made from solid pine wood. They have a classic rectangular profile.
Seen from the front the profile is 13mm wide and 20mm deep.
Wooden - solid oak
Made from solid oak wood.
Unpainted, with beautifully visible oak details. Classically elegant.
Seen from the front the profile is 13mm wide and 20mm deep.
Aluminium
Made from painted aluminium.
Seen from the front the profile is 9mm wide and 18mm deep.
Accessories for frames
Passé-partout
Passé-partout is a cardboard window inserted into the frame. It serves to emphasise the artwork on display by creating a white space between the poster and the frame.
All our passe-partouts are manufactured in Poland on English cardboard from Slater Harrison.
Anti-reflective plexiglass
As standard our frames are made of plexiglass. If your poster will be exposed to strong light sources, e.g. by a window, directly under a lamp, the anti-reflective plexiglass will avoid unfavourable light reflections.
Our anti-reflective plexiglass is manufactured in China and supplied by Polish suppliers.
