Babia Góra National Park poster is included in our new series of posters POLISH NATIONAL PARKS. A one-of-a-kind series that depicts the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the country. Our travel posters show the more popular areas of beautiful Poland.
Babia Góra National Park , is one of 23 national parks in Poland. Established in 1954, it covers an area of 1049.89 hectares. It covers the northern and partly southern part of the Babia Góra massif (the highest range within the High Beskids).
The areas of Babiogórski National Park are mostly covered with forests - in fact, only the highest parts of Babia Gora are forestless, where, due to the altitude, there is a mountain pine layer, and even higher the alpine (halneal) layer.
The most characteristic inhabitants of Babia Góra National Park as far as mammals are concerned are: deer, brown bear, wolf, lynx, fox, badger, marten, acorn (found only here in Poland), coot, and among birds: capercaillie, black grouse, wood grouse, owl, raven, kestrel, black woodpecker, white-backed woodpecker, three-toed woodpecker, gray-bellied woodpecker, mountain pine tit. The rare great crested newt and spotted newt are also found here. The symbol of the National Park is the deer's antler, and thus our poster.
Babia Góra National Park poster is the work of Maciej Ptasiński. One of a kind poster of Polish tourism, made especially for our order.
