Poster with a reproduction of the patent showing improvements to the beer bottling machine by Rudolf Gull. Beer is one of the oldest and most consumed alcoholic beverages in the world and the third most popular drink after water and tea. Poland, with a consumption of 98 liters per person in 2012, ranked high in fourth place in the world, second only to such famous beer connoisseurs as the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. The patent pending improvement was to provide higher air pressure in the bottle and the use of a wide tube to minimize friction to achieve a slow, gravity flow of the beer from the tank to the bottle. Thanks to the application of the above solution, it was possible to almost completely limit the foam production during pouring. Patent No. US938578 A was published in 1909 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
