Poster with a reproduction of the camera patent from 1966. The oldest surviving photograph is less than 200 years old. Nevertheless, in such a short time of its history, it has evolved in an amazing way. The first photo was taken on a zinc plate covered with Syrian asphalt, and its production required a minimum of eight hours of exposure to the sun. Already less than 80 years later, anyone could become a photographer. An easy-to-use and inexpensive camera called the Kodak Browniewas launched, which made it possible to take pictures by hand. One button and viewfinder - that's the whole philosophy of this camera, making it considered the most important camera in the history of photography. The Herbert Bing patent relates to an adapter or accessory used in conjunction with the viewfinder and rangefinder system of a camera or similar device. This is particularly true for a device that can be used to change the optical properties of the coupled rangefinder or the like when the optical properties of the lens system with which the ranging finder is used are changed. Patent No. US3253528 A was published in 1966 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
