Drawa National Park poster is included in our new series of posters POLISH NATIONAL PARKS. A unique series that depicts the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the country. Our travel posters show the more popular areas of beautiful Poland.
Drawa National Park, is one of 23 national parks on Polish territory. Established in 1990, it covers an area of 11,535.66 ha. It is located in the Lubuskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Wielkopolskie Voivodeships. It is the most picturesque fragment of the Drawsko Plain, a large sandland area in the Pomeranian Lake District, occupied by a dense forest complex of the Drawsko Forest, also known as the Drawa Forest.
Forests in the Park cover 83% of the area. They are mostly beech and oak-beech forests, as well as pine forests. In addition, 10% of the Park's water area is occupied by lakes and rivers.
The area of Drawa National Park is characterised by remarkable fauna, distinguishing it not only in the region, but also in the country, and even in Central Europe. The Park's mammal fauna comprises over 40 species. More than 160 species of birds, including the beautiful cormorant, were found in its immediate vicinity during the study period. Noteworthy is the numerous occurrence of bats, as well as the numerous populations of beaver and otter. The latter two species are considered to be characteristic and representative of the Park's fauna. The otter is the symbol of the National Park and thus our poster.
Drawa National Park poster is a work of Maciej Ptasiński. One of a kind poster for Polish tourism, made especially for our order.
