The Gorce National Park poster is part of our new POLISH NATIONAL PARKS poster series. This unique series presents the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the country. Our tourist posters showcase the most popular areas of beautiful Poland.
Gorce National Park
is one of 23 national parks in Poland. Established in 1881 in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, it encompasses five municipalities: Niedźwiedź, Kamienica, Mszana Dolna, Ochotnica Dolna, and Nowy Targ. All the highest peaks of the Gorce Mountains are located within the park. These are Turbacz, Jaworzyna Kamienicka, Kiczora, Kudłoń, Czoło Turbacza, and Gorc. The park's symbol is a black fire salamander on a yellow background.
Among the most distinctive and unique landscape features of this park are the Gorce National Park glades. They are also very attractive to tourists visiting these areas. One reason they are so popular may be the beautiful views they offer, stretching across the Pieniny Mountains, the Tatra Mountains, the Beskid Wyspowy Mountains, the Żywiec Beskids, and the Sądecki Beskids.
Another distinctive feature is that in spring they are covered with a multitude of crocuses, giving them a distinctive purple color.
The Gorce National Park poster is the work of Maciej Ptasiński. This one-of-a-kind Polish tourism poster, specially commissioned by us.
