A poster with the most expensive object in the history of mankind, ie the International Space Station from the "Technical Miracles" series. The series presents the greatest technological achievements of the 20th and 21st centuries. International Space Station, MSK or the International Space Station (ISS) for short, is the first space station built with the participation of many countries. It consists of 16 main modules (ultimately 17) and allows for six permanent crew members (three until 2009). The first modules of the station were launched into orbit and connected with each other in 1998. The first permanent crew settled there in 2000.

The ISS is powered by solar panels, and until July 19, 2011, the American STS shuttles and the Russian Soyuz and Progress spacecraft were involved in transporting people and materials. After the end of the American shuttle program in 2011, the Russian Soyuz rockets became the astronaut carrier and, from 2020, the American Crew Dragon by the American company SpaceX.
