Lodz Province is a beautiful geographical land, located in the central part of Poland. Geographical and ecological diversity, rich plant communities, abundant wild animal populations, rare bird species and picturesquely situated water bodies delight and make the region's nature one of a kind. Among the pearls of nature of the Lodz region is the Blue Springs Reserve in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, which is the hero of our poster. Located in the valley of the Pilica River, on the right bank of the river, in the southeastern part of the city of Tomaszow Mazowiecki. The springs are karstic vents among the most interesting karst phenomena in Europe. The main water-bearing complex consists of fractured Jurassic limestone, from which water that takes on a blue-blue-green color seeps out. The color of the water in the spring pools is the result of the action of scattered sunlight. The change in the hue of the water depends on the state of the weather, the degree of sunshine or cloud cover. In addition, pulsating geysers made of sand tossed by the spring water add to the charm of the springs. The symbol of the reserve is the mallard duck, and it is the one featured on our poster.
