Posters from the Astronomy series depict all eight planets of the solar system. They were made especially for us by the artist from Wrocław.
This poster shows Neptune. It is the most distant planet from the Sun in the Solar System. The name of the planet comes from the god of the seas - Neptune. It was discovered by Johann Gottfried Galle on September 23, 1846. The German astronomer discovered in his career, among others ring of Saturn and 3 comets. Interestingly, it was only in 1989 that the Voyager 2 probe confirmed the existence of rings, which in the case of Neptune are relatively poorly visible.
