Ojców National Park poster is included in our new series of posters POLISH NATIONAL PARKS. A unique series that depicts the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the country. Our travel posters show the more popular areas of beautiful Poland.
Ojców National Park, is one of 23 national parks on Polish territory. Established in 1956, it covers an area of 2145.62 ha. It is located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in the district of Krakow, about 16 km from Krakow. It is the smallest of the Polish national parks.
The characteristic elements of the Park are the monadnocks and are built of hard rocky limestone. It is they that stand out in the limestone landscape and provide such fantastic scenery. The most famous rock formation in Ojcow is, of course, Maczuga Herkulesa (Hercules' Mace) standing by the Pieskowa Skała castle. Its shape is a symbol and showpiece of the Ojców National Park and the entire Kraków-Częstochowa Upland.
The symbol of the National Park is a bat, and so is our poster.
Ojców National Park poster is a work of Maciej Ptasiński. One of a kind poster for Polish tourism, made especially for our order.
