"Dinosaurs for children" posters were created to promote knowledge about dinosaurs among children by showing different species of dinosaurs in an interesting and fun way.

This poster shows a Stegosaurus, a genus of a late Jurassic avian dinosaur in what is now western North America.

There were two rows of characteristic bone plates on its back. It grew up to 9 meters in length, 4 meters in height (together with the boards on the back) and could weigh 2.5 tons. Stegosaurus moved on four limbs. It had an arched back and a stiff, raised tail. At the end of the tail there were long (up to 1 meter) spikes that served as a defense against predators. The function of the plates on the spine is not entirely clear. They did not cover the sides, so they were not used for defense. Perhaps their purpose was to support thermoregulation or the apparent enlargement of the size of the animal in order to make a greater impression on the opponent, partner or predator. Stegosaurs were herbivores. Most likely, they ate low plants, as indicated by the characteristic low head position.

This poster, as well as the entire series, was made especially for us by the artist Martyna Nejman.
