The Tatra National Park poster is included in our new series of posters POLISH NATIONAL PARKS. A one-of-a-kind cycle that presents the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the country. Our tourist posters show the most popular areas of beautiful Poland.

Tatra National Park is one of 23 national parks in Poland. The Tatras are the only alpine mountains in Poland, the only place in Poland where chamois and marmots live. The climate of the Tatra Mountains, and hence their vegetation, is characterized by a multi-layered structure. The lowest level, i.e. the lower forest floor, is covered with spruce, beech and fir forests. The upper log is almost exclusively spruce forest, only rarely is the relict limb-spruce forest. The upper part of the mountain pine (1550–1800 m) is overgrown with shrub vegetation with a predominance of dwarf mountain pine. The halls are made of alpine grasslands with rich alpine vegetation. You can meet here, among others many species of gentian, glacier carnation, alpine pasque-flower. There are not many plants in the first floor of the hill, although some of them are strongly attached to this high level, e.g. transparent gentian and iceberg buttercup. Among the Tatra mammals it is worth mentioning the chamois and marmot (which were produced in the Tatra Mountains by the subspecies of the Tatra chamois and the Tatra marmot), and in the lower parts of the deer, the European roe deer, the lynx, the common weasel and the brown bear. The golden eagle dominates among the birds, and the brick wall, nesting in the higher parts of the mountains, is also characteristic. It can be recognized by its red wings and extraordinary climbing abilities.

Tatra National Parkposter is the work of Maciej Ptasiński. One of a kind poster of Polish tourism, made especially for us.
