Drawieński National Park
is one of 23 national parks in Poland. Established in 1990, it covers an area of 11,535.66 hectares. It is located in the Lubusz, West Pomeranian, and Greater Poland Voivodeships. It is the most picturesque part of the Drawsko Plain, a large sandur area in the Pomeranian Lake District, occupied by the dense forest complex of the Drawsko Forest, also known as the Drawsko Forest.Forests within the Park cover 83% of its area. These are mostly beech and oak-beech forests, as well as pine forests. Lakes and rivers also cover 10% of the park's water area.
The Drawieński National Park area is characterized by unique faunal values, distinguishing it not only regionally, but also nationally, and even within Central Europe.
The park's mammal fauna includes over 40 species. Over 160 bird species, including the beautiful cormorant, were recorded in the immediate vicinity during the study period. Noteworthy are the numerous occurrences of bats, as well as large populations of beavers and otters. The latter two species are characteristic and representative of the park's fauna. The otter is the symbol of the National Park, and therefore of our poster.The Drawieński National Park poster is the work of Maciej Ptasiński.
