The Giżycko poster is a continuation of the new mini-series "Poland is Beautiful." The series aims to present some of the more or less well-known tourist destinations in Poland.
Giżycko is the undisputed capital of Polish sailing. Located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Giżycko is situated in the central part of the Masurian Lake District in the Great Masurian Lake District. It lies picturesquely nestled between Lakes Niegocin and Kisajno. During the summer season, Giżycko is besieged by sailboats glistening in the sun and tourists enamoured with Masuria and Warmia.
Therefore, we wanted to symbolically showcase what is most characteristic about the scenery of this atmospheric summer town. A sailor sailing alone on a lake in his sailboat, the water shimmering in all shades of blue.
The GIŻYCKO poster is the work of Poznań artist Katarzyna Nowakowska. It was commissioned especially for us. See also other posters from the REGIONS OF POLAND series in our gallery.
