The Jizera Mountains is a unique poster, as well as a very original region in its own right. It is a mountain range in the Western Sudetes, in the Czech Republic and Poland. They cover approximately 1,000 km², with the Polish part covering approximately 400 km². They form a vast and branched system of ridges, massifs, and isolated peaks. The flattened, domed peaks, gradually giving way to initially gentle, then steeply sloping slopes, reflect the complex geological and tectonic processes that shaped the range. The Jizera Mountains are full of life.
With their gentle hills, three main tree species predominate – Norway spruce, silver fir, and European beech. The Jizera Mountains, with their network of trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing, are perfect for family nature observation. Among the Jizera forests, densely covering the gentle slopes of the somewhat mysterious mountains, you can find red deer, roe deer, foxes, and wild boars. The fox has become a symbol on our poster.The Jizera Mountains poster is the work of one of Poznań's top artists, Katarzyna Nowakowska.
