Hemp - poster

A poster from the "Medicinal Plants" series depicting Cannabis sativa, or hemp.

It has a wide range of uses in medicine. In Poland, hemp was primarily grown for the textile industry, but it is gaining popularity in medicine. Hemp is rich in CBD (cannabidiol, which is not a psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause intoxication), but has a very low THC content (tetrahydrocannabinol, which has a concentration of less than 0.1% – this content does not cause any changes in perception of reality).

Hemp helps, among other things, relieve pain without any side effects; reduce the symptoms of neurological diseases; and combat inflammation, especially in the nervous system, for example, in the treatment of muscle spasticity and Parkinson's disease. Its cultivation is not demanding – it grows even in less fertile soil and is resistant to unfavorable conditions. Due to its rapid growth, it has no competition from weeds. However, its specific smell deters pests – thanks to this, no herbicides or pesticides are required for cultivation. Artificial fertilizers are also unnecessary, as they are sufficient for the nutrients contained in the soil.

This poster, like the entire series, was painted especially for our order. After the painting is completed, the poster is digitally scanned and then printed on our highest quality paper.
