The modern origins of football took place in Great Britain in the 19th century, when dedicated football clubs began to appear in schools. However, at that time, there was no clear distinction between football and rugby. Players could use their hands and pass the ball backwards. It wasn't until 1848 in Cambridge that the first rules of the game were written, which restricted the ability to hold the ball in the hand and favored kicking. The patent concerns a training boot whose two parts—the toe area and the inner sidewall—are visually distinct from the rest of the boot. Thanks to these distinctions, a coach, who previously had difficulty seeing the point of contact between a player's boot and the ball, will be able to precisely observe the ball-to-boot contact area. This will make it easier to correct imprecise technique. The soccer shoe poster is patent number US4204346 A and was published in 1980 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
